The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has announced new margin parameters for various underlying assets, effective from 15-Apr-2024. The base margins range from 5% to 16%, with the base margin per contract varying between AED 2 and AED 2119, or USD 786 for OMOIL. The spread margin per contract ranges from 1 to 424. The methodology for margin calculation and types of eligible margin are detailed in the Derivatives Clearing Guidelines and Procedures on the Dubai Clear website. On April 5, 2024, a letter was sent from Ali Al Hashimi, the Chief Financial Officer of the Dubai Financial Market (PJSC), to Dr. Maryam Buti Al Suwaidi, the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Commodities Authority in Abu Dhabi, and Mr. Hamed Ahmed Ali, the Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Financial Market. The letter informed them that the board of directors of the Dubai Financial Market had passed a resolution by circulation related to regular and internal matters, as disclosed by the company on April 2, 2024.

The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) will be closed for Eid Al Fitr from April 8, 2024, until the 3rd of Shawwal 1445. Trading and normal working hours will resume on April 12, 2024, if Eid Al Fitr falls on April 9, 2024. If Eid Al Fitr falls on April 10, 2024, the market will resume operations on April 15, 2024.
