Empower Sets New Guinness World Record

Summary

Empower has set a second Guinness World Record for the Largest Cooling Plant Coverage in its Business Bay district cooling project, serving 188 buildings.

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC, known as Empower, has once again made headlines by setting a second Guinness World Record within a span of two months. This time, the accolade is for the Largest Cooling Plant Coverage, specifically for its Business Bay district cooling project in Dubai. This monumental achievement underscores Empower's stature as the world's largest district cooling services provider, serving a wide array of buildings that include residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.

The Business Bay district cooling project is not just a regional marvel but stands as one of the largest district energy projects globally. With an ultimate capacity of 451,540 refrigeration tons (RT), the project includes nine district cooling plants. Of these, four are currently operational, while two are in the design phase. These plants serve 188 multi-use buildings and skyscrapers across Business Bay, Sheikh Zayed Road, and the Dubai Water Canal, connected through a 52.4-kilometer distribution pipeline network.

Empower's commitment to sustainability and innovation is evident in its use of advanced thermal energy storage (TES) technologies and treated sewage effluent (TSE). The company previously earned recognition for the Highest Capacity District Cooling Plant with a connected capacity of 241,272 RT.

CEO Ahmad Bin Shafar attributes this global recognition to the relentless efforts of Empower's engineering, technical, and administrative teams. He emphasized that this achievement aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the UAE Centennial 2071 goal of making the UAE the best country in the world by 2071.

Given Empower's consistent track record of innovation and sustainability, the future looks promising for the company. Its strategic alignment with national goals and its robust operational framework make it a compelling choice for investors. Therefore, the recommendation is to buy the stock, as it reflects not just the company's success but also its potential for long-term growth.
