On 24 September 2024, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange received a notification from Fertiglobe plc regarding a resolution passed by the company's Board of Directors on 23 September 2024. The resolution, issued at 6:00 PM, includes approval to call for a General Assembly meeting to consider amending the company's Articles of Association and electing a new Board of Directors. The General Assembly meeting will be scheduled two weeks after obtaining necessary regulatory approvals related to ADNOC’s acquisition of OCI’s majority shareholding in Fertiglobe, as announced on 15 December 2023.
Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar), in which Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) holds a 43% share, has signed definitive agreements with Brookfield Renewable and its institutional partners to acquire a 100% stake in Saeta Yield. The deal is valued at approximately AED 4.8 billion (€1.2 billion) with an additional investment of AED 2.8 billion (€696 million). The acquisition includes an operating and regulated portfolio of about 745 MW of onshore wind and solar assets, along with a development pipeline of approximately 1.6 GW across Spain and Portugal. Axiom Space and Burjeel Holdings have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to conduct scientific research and test new technologies in space, focusing on how the human body reacts in microgravity. The collaboration aims to expand access to microgravity for medical advancements. The announcement was made at a signing ceremony in New York, attended by key executives from both organizations. As their first initiative, they plan to send a suite of medical capabilities to space, which will be used by Axiom Space astronauts during their training and the upcoming Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4). This research will study the effects of microgravity on biomarkers, drug substance quality, and remote health services.
