Watania International Holding has appointed Al Ramz Capital LLC as its liquidity provider, effective from August 15, 2024, following regulatory approvals. Al Ramz, a licensed market maker with over 25 years of experience in UAE capital markets, will independently trade Watania shares, aiming to optimize share trading by enriching the order book, minimizing trading spreads, and reducing price volatility. This move aligns with Watania's strategy to enhance market positioning and investor confidence. Both Watania's CEO, Gautam Datta, and Al Ramz's CEO, Karim Schoeib, expressed their commitment to fostering a dynamic and transparent trading environment.
The Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA) held a meeting on 13 August 2024 at the company's headquarters. During the meeting, the Board approved the unaudited financial results for the period ending 30 June 2024 and agreed to distribute an interim cash dividend of 0.70 fils per share, totaling approximately AED 787 million, for the second quarter of the financial year 2024. Key dates related to the dividend are as follows: the last day to participate is 21 August 2024, the ex-dividend date is 22 August 2024, the record date is 23 August 2024, and the payment date is 5 September 2024. The Board also discussed other general matters related to the company's activities and projects and made necessary decisions.
Sudatel Telecom Group Ltd. has announced a delay in disclosing its financial statements for the second quarter of 2024, which were originally due by August 14, 2024. The postponement is due to ongoing discussions about the accounting treatment of financial obligations, particularly in light of significant depreciation of the local currency (SDG) against the reporting currency (USD). The company aims to provide the financial statements as soon as these discussions are concluded. The announcement was made by Sally Mikhail Younan, the Board Secretary Director.
Invictus Investment Company reported a 35% increase in commodity transaction volumes, reaching 3.36 million metric tonnes in H1 2024, compared to 2.48 million metric tonnes in H1 2023. Revenue remained stable at AED 4.26 billion, a 0.55% increase from the previous year. Net profit was AED 84.23 million, and total equity rose to AED 1.11 billion from AED 990.1 million in H1 2023.
